Lion Chaser I Halftime Series I Pastor Greg Colbert

What do you do when you come face-to-face with a lion? In 2 Samuel 23:20, Benaiah didn't run from the lion—he chased it. On a snowy day, into a pit, against impossible odds, he confronted the threat and emerged victorious. His story is more than a heroic account; it's a powerful picture of biblical courage. In this message, Lion Chaser, we explore how true courage is developed from a deep confidence in God and expressed through bold action. Biblical courage isn't the absence of fear—it's choosing to move forward when fear gives you every reason to stay still. 📖 Key Truths From This Message: The Ability To Develop Internal Courage That Is Expressed In External Boldness Biblical Courage Is What Happens When Your Confidence In God Becomes Greater Than Your Concern About The Outcome Fear Often Reveals What Matters Most Opportunity Often Looks Like Opposition Faith Requires Action Impossible Odds Are God's Favorite Stage Learn To Think Like A Lion Chaser We'll also examine the courage of Peter and John in Acts 4:13 and discover how spending time with Jesus produces: ➡️ Identity ➡️ Courage ➡️ Boldness ➡️ Kingdom Impact Finally, we'll look at the power of impartation through 2 Timothy 1:6-7 and how God stirs gifts, strengthens faith, and replaces fear with power, love, and a sound mind. If you've been facing a challenge, delaying a step of faith, or wrestling with fear, this message will encourage you to trust God, take action, and chase the lions standing between you and God's purpose for your life. 🙏 Don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and Share this message with someone who needs courage today. #LionChaser #BiblicalCourage #FaithOverFear #Benaiah #ChristianSermon #KingdomImpact #BoldFaith #Acts413 #2Timothy1 #ChristianMotivation #FaithInAction #ChurchMessage #JesusChangesEverything #SpiritualGrowth #CourageousLiving

⚠️ Please Note: Due to a technical issue, portions of the audio may not be at our normal quality. Thank you for your patience and understanding. It’s halftime—but the game isn’t over. In Week 1 of our Halftime series, Pastor Donivyn Zanders challenges us to evaluate where we are, let go of what is behind us, and press forward into everything God has for us. Through Philippians 3:13-15, we are reminded that the middle of the journey is not the end of the story. Whether 2026 has gone exactly as planned or completely off script, God is still working, still leading, and still calling you forward. In this message: • Don’t let yesterday define tomorrow • Growth requires effort • Keep your eyes on the prize • Change your mindset, change your momentum The middle may feel uncertain, but it’s often where God does some of His greatest work. Don’t stop now. Keep pressing forward. That Explains Everything | Cra-Zee Series | Pastor Greg Colbert

Have you ever looked back on a difficult season and finally realized that God was working the entire time? What once felt confusing, painful, unfair, and even Cra-Zee suddenly begins to make sense when viewed through the lens of God’s purpose. In this message, Pastor Greg Colbert continues the Cra-Zee series through the life of Joseph, showing how God can use every setback, betrayal, delay, and detour to fulfill His promise. Scripture: Genesis 41:37-43 Genesis 50:20 After years of being betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison, Joseph finds himself elevated to second-in-command over all of Egypt. What looked like chaos was actually God’s plan unfolding. In this message you’ll discover: • Why righteousness is always the right choice • How to remain a blessing even while facing adversity • The danger of trying to control God’s timing • Why God’s wisdom always outmatches the enemy’s plans • How God uses unexpected shifts to position us for purpose • Why God’s promises never fail • The importance of maintaining the right perspective during difficult seasons • How God can make you fruitful even in places of suffering Key Lessons: Lesson 12 – Righteousness Is Always Right Lesson 13 – Don’t Let The Cra-Zee Stop You From Being A Blessing To Others Lesson 14 – Stop Trying To Control The When Lesson 15 – God Will Always Outmatch The Cra-Zee Of The Enemy Lesson 16 – Sometimes God Has To Shift You Because You Wouldn’t Shift Yourself Lesson 17 – God Always Fulfills His Promise Lesson 18 – Acquire And Fight To Keep The Right Perspective Joseph named his sons Manasseh and Ephraim as reminders of God’s faithfulness. One represented forgetting the pain of the past, and the other represented fruitfulness in the middle of suffering. What the enemy intended for harm, God used for good. Genesis 50:20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” No matter what season you’re walking through, God is still writing your story. One day you’ll look back and realize that what seemed Cra-Zee at the time was actually God preparing you for His purpose. Make It Make Sense | Cra-Zee Series | Pastor Greg Colbert

Make It Make Sense | Cra-Zee Series | Pastor Greg Colbert Have you ever found yourself asking, “God… make it make sense?” Sometimes life takes turns we never expected. We do the right thing, stay faithful, honor God—and still find ourselves facing opposition, disappointment, or even consequences we didn’t deserve. In those moments, it can all feel… Cra-Zee. In this message, Pastor Greg Colbert continues the Cra-Zee series through the life of Joseph, revealing how God is still at work even when our circumstances don’t make sense. Scripture: Genesis 39:6-23 (NIV) Joseph remained faithful to God in the middle of temptation, false accusations, and imprisonment. What looked like a setback was actually God’s positioning for something greater. In this message you’ll discover: • The choices you have when craziness shows up • Why God’s positioning doesn’t always look like progress • How to thrive in difficult environments • The connection between discipline and stability • Why favor often brings unwanted attention • How integrity protects your purpose • Why position is more valuable than comfort • How God’s presence enables you to prosper anywhere Key Lessons: Lesson 6 – When Craziness Shows Up, You Have Options Lesson 7 – God’s Positioning Doesn’t Always Look Like Progress Lesson 8 – You Can Thrive Anywhere Lesson 9 – Some Craziness Is Due to a Lack of Discipline Lesson 10 – Favor Brings Attention. Can You Handle the Attention? Lesson 11 – Position Is Better Than Comfort No matter what season you’re in, God’s presence is greater than your circumstances. Just as the Lord was with Joseph in Potiphar’s house and in prison, He is with you today. When you trust who is with you, you can prosper wherever God has positioned you. Sabbath Sunday

At Thrive City Church, we believe that healthy ministry includes healthy rhythms of rest. On Sunday, July 19th, we will be observing Sabbath Sunday, meaning there will be no in-person service that day. This intentional pause allows us to honor and refresh our incredible Ambassadors and volunteers who serve so faithfully week after week. Their commitment, sacrifice, and heart for people help make ministry happen, and we are grateful for each and every one of them. We encourage you to use this Sunday to rest, spend time with family, enjoy God's presence, and be refreshed. We'll be back together the following Sunday ready to continue reaching, teaching, and releasing people for the glory of God. To all of our Ambassadors: thank you for your faithfulness, your excellence, and your servant's heart. We celebrate and appreciate you!

Scholarship Opportunity

5:00 PM

La Joya High School Performing Arts Center

11650 W Whyman Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323, USA

Each year, one of the great joys of Thrive City Church is being able to invest in the next generation through our Scholarship Program. Because of the generosity of our church family, we have been blessed to award scholarship funds to several graduating students as they take their next steps into college, trade school, or continuing education. While we would love to assist every student, the available funds allow us to bless a select number of applicants each year. Our prayer is that these scholarships not only provide financial support but also serve as a reminder that their church family believes in them, is praying for them, and is excited to see all that God has planned for their future.
